Customer Support for Financial Services: Define the Data Boundary
An evaluation checklist for general enquiries, service ownership and sensitive information.

For financial-services operations and security reviewers
Separate general questions from regulated workflows
Public product information and arranging a general introductory conversation are different from identity verification, investment advice or access to financial accounts. Classify each proposed workflow before choosing a communication tool. This checklist is product-evaluation guidance, not a determination that a particular legal or regulatory obligation has been satisfied.
Describe the information involved
List the data entered, displayed, recorded and sent to each provider. Use synthetic examples during evaluation. Decide who can access it, how long it is retained and how a deletion request would be handled. A transcript or summary can contain the same sensitive material as the original conversation.
Require evidence for the controls
Ask for current contractual documents and evidence covering the specific product and deployment. Distinguish a feature description, an internal policy and an independent certification. Instaconnect does not currently claim SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, a BAA, or a verified KYC workflow.
Keep consequential actions in the appropriate system
Do not use an informational chatbot as authority to change an account, execute a financial transaction or approve an identity. Route those requests to the established authenticated service process. Check human ownership and failure handling before any integration can change records.
Set a narrow acceptance boundary
If evaluating Instaconnect, start with non-sensitive website information and a clearly owned handoff. Have the organization’s security and legal reviewers assess the intended use and applicable requirements. Stop a pilot when it depends on an unverified control; do not turn a marketing claim into an operational assumption.
