Connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365
Authorise your calendar, choose which calendar bookings land on, and understand what conflict checking does today.
- 1
Authorise the connection
In your scheduling settings, connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 and complete the consent screen. Each team member connects their own calendar — there is no admin-wide shortcut.
- 2
Choose your default calendar
If your account has several calendars, set which one new bookings are written to. Pick the one your colleagues already look at, not a private side calendar.
- 3
Set availability that reflects reality
Define working hours, buffers between meetings, date overrides for holidays, and a daily booking limit. This is your primary protection against a full day of back-to-back calls.
- 4
Test with a real booking
Open your public booking page in a private window and book a slot. Check the event appears on the calendar you chose and that the confirmation email arrives with cancel and reschedule links.
- External busy-time conflict checks and automatic write-back are future scope. Keep your current availability rules tight and test the supported booking flow before relying on it.
- InstaTalk supplies the meeting link, so you do not need a Zoom, Meet or Teams add-on to hold the call.
