Move a chat to video or screen share
Escalate a live conversation into the same browser tab — no download for the visitor.
- 1
Escalate from the conversation
In an active chat, start video, audio or screen share. The visitor stays on your page and simply grants their browser permission — there is nothing to install and no meeting link to email.
- 2
Choose the right mode
Use screen share when you need to show them something on your side, and video when the problem is really a conversation. Co-browsing — seeing their page while they keep control — is future scope and not part of the current support workflow.
- 3
Keep the context
The visitor's chat history follows the escalation, so you are not asking them to repeat themselves at the exact moment they are most frustrated.
- 4
Record if it is useful
Recorded sessions produce a transcript and an AI summary through InstaStudio, linked back to the conversation.
- Video runs on InstaTalk. You do not join through Zoom, Meet or Teams; those third-party join-link flows are future scope.
