Getting started

Install the Instaconnect widget on your site

Copy one script tag, choose which entry points appear, and match the widget to your brand.

    About 5 minutes
    1. 1

Create a widget in your workspace

Open the workspace you want the widget to belong to, go to the widget settings and create a new widget. Each widget belongs to one space, so a second brand or a second site gets its own widget rather than sharing yours.

    2. 2

      Copy the embed script

The widget gives you a single script tag containing its script ID. Paste it before the closing </body> tag on every page you want the widget on. There is no npm package to install and no key to keep secret — the script ID identifies the widget, not your account.

    3. 3

      Pick your entry points

Turn on the entry points you actually want visitors to see: chat, book a meeting, or start a call. If your team cannot staff live chat yet, publish booking only — an unanswered chat bubble costs you more than no bubble.

    4. 4

      Theme it

Set the accent colour, corner position and logo so the widget reads as part of your site. Test it on mobile: the launcher should not cover your own buttons.

    5. 5

      Confirm it is live

Load your site in a private window. The launcher should appear, and a test message should land in the agent queue in your workspace before you rely on the widget for live enquiries.

    Good to know
    • A workspace can run several widgets, each scoped to its own space and site.
    • QR Connect uses the same widget — you generate a code that opens the flow without a website.
